Hosting a Car Seat Clinic

In order to host a clinic, there are several requirements that are needed:

Weather permitting, we are able to run clinics outdoors as long as there is a large enough parking lot where we can block off approximately 20 spots, as well as garbage facilities, accessible bathrooms and access to drinking water.

If the weather is not cooperative (winter), we look for locations where we can have 4 to 8 cars indoors, such as drive thru car bays, firehalls or empty warehouses. The location needs to be child friendly (safe and clean), access to bathrooms and water and garbage facilities.

Having a volunteer with SEATS for Kids provide a seminar for our clients.

Occasionally SEATS for Kids is contacted to provide a seminar or education session for a group or organization.

We can offer several options of seminars:

1 hour Rear Facing Introduction to car seats. 40 minutes of talking and 20 minutes of discussion, questions and answers. This seminar does NOT include checking individual car seats.
Cost: $150.00 to SEATS for Kids. Maximum 15 people.

2 hour information seminar (Rear facing/forward facing/booster) Introduction to 3 stages of car seats, explanation of how the seats protect the child in each stage, how to properly harness your child, how to pick the best seat for your baby, when to move to the next step and questions and answers. This seminar does NOT include checking individual car seats.
Cost: $230.00 to SEATS for Kids.  Maximum 15 people.

4 hour Information seminar (Rear facing/forward facing/booster) Introduction to 3 stages of car seats, explanation of how the seats protect the child in each stage, how to properly harness your child, how to pick the best seat for your baby, and when to move to the next step. Demonstrations of a properly installed rear facing seat, forward facing seat and booster seat and proper installation tips and tricks.  This seminar is recommended for child care providers, foster parents and people who transport children as part of their employment.
Cost: $350.00 to SEATS for Kids. Maximum 15 people.
